Tess Brown

Tess is the Worship Leader and Youth Pastor at The Rock. From a very young age, she recognized the call on her life to serve the church in leading worship. She has been faithful to that calling–serving on worship teams since Jr. High. It’s been ten years since Tess has joined our family at The Rock, where she has continued to develop in the call and dream the Lord placed in her heart so long ago. While she has volunteered on our worship team throughout the years, we were blessed to be able to officially add her to our staff in 2016!

Tess loves helping people experience the presence of God through worship. She says, “Worship (alongside so many other ways such as prayer and fasting) is how we fight our battles. It is powerful and so freeing.” On the importance of corporate worship she says that while we can, and should, worship on our own, there is such encouragement and unity found in our time together. “I truly believe God adores when all of His children come together and worship as one. There is a strength in the church when we come together as one body of Christ.”

Tess has a degree in Office Administration from Ivy Tech, and recently also celebrated earning her Bachelor's Degree from N2N Christian University. While these studies affect all of her life and ministry, they are also invaluable as she enters her sixth year as The Rock’s Youth Pastor. She loves to “do life” with her students – come alongside them and encourage them in their walk with the Lord!
